Life changes. Your medical information can change, too. Xpress-Guardian Maintenance makes it easy to keep your Emergency Safety ID information current and your card ready when you need it.
Your first year of maintenance is included with your Xpress-Guardian card.
After the first year, you can choose to continue maintenance annually to keep your information updated and receive the benefits of the maintenance program.
Your First Year Is Included
When you purchase an Xpress-Guardian Emergency Safety ID, your first year of maintenance is included.
During your first year, you can:
- Update your medical and personal information.
- Keep your information current as circumstances change.
- Request a replacement card when an update requires a new card.
- Receive one free replacement card during your first year.
- Have your updated photo included when a replacement card is issued.
If you purchased cards for additional family members, their first year of maintenance is included with their cards as well.

What’s Included With Maintenance?
Keep Your Information Updated
Make changes to your medical, personal, emergency contact, or other information throughout the year.
One Free Replacement Card
Each covered person receives one free replacement Emergency Safety ID per maintenance year when a new card is required because of:
- Lost card
- Stolen card
- Damaged card
- Updated information
- Other changes requiring a new card
Updated Photo
When a replacement card is issued, you can provide an updated photo so your Emergency Safety ID stays current.
Your Information Is Retained
Your Xpress-Guardian account keeps the information you’ve provided available so updated or replacement cards can be produced when needed.
Annual Review Reminder
Xpress-Guardian can remind you to review your information so you can make sure your emergency information remains accurate.
Need Another Card?
Your maintenance plan includes one free replacement card per covered person per plan year.
If you need additional cards after your free replacement has been used, additional replacement cards are available for:
Primary Cardholder: $9.99 per card
Additional Family Member: $7.99 per card
All replacement cards are shipped to the customer’s address on file.
Lost or Stolen Cards
If your Xpress-Guardian Emergency Safety ID is lost or stolen, don’t worry.
Contact Xpress-Guardian to report the card and request a replacement.
The same maintenance replacement terms apply: one free replacement per covered person during the applicable maintenance year, followed by the applicable replacement-card fee for additional cards.
When Does a New Card Need to Be Printed?
Not every update requires a new physical card.
If you make a change to your information that does require a new card, you will need to notify Xpress-Guardian that a replacement card is required.
This helps ensure that Xpress-Guardian only produces and ships a new card when necessary.
What Happens If I Don't Renew?
Maintenance after the first year is optional.
If you choose not to renew, your existing physical Emergency Safety ID remains valid. However, you will no longer receive the benefits of the maintenance program, including the annual free replacement card and ongoing maintenance coverage.
If you later need a replacement card, regular replacement charges will apply.
